In order to take an exam in school you prepared and you knew what was expected of you by the teacher. Taking a medical test is not all that different. Insurance companies need to qualify you for an insurance policy by checking your medical past with your doctor(s). But first they want to check you out for themselves. They will send an examiner to a place of your choosing to conduct a free medical exam that usually takes less than an hour.
Here are tips to help you prepare and maybe 'ace' your test.
At least a day before the exam--- you should avoid stress, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, high fat foods or salty foods to prevent your blood pressure readings or pulse rate from going up abnormally. Be prepared with a detailed list of all the medicines you take and provide the examiner with the contact information of your doctor(s).
Passing a medical exam with a good 'grade' will get you a few steps closer to qualifying for the coveted Preferred insurance ratings which are the cheapest.
